Let me see, an English animation, two Korean movies…let me add to the list, a Japanese drama series…Okay, I know, know…It’s a movie section, but I really think I’d like to share this. Heard of “Otosan”---“Father”? This is one show that I don’t know the names of the cast… Seriously, I only recognize 2 of the actress by their face, one is a singer (Oh, she acts with Won Bin in the Jap-Korean drama, Friends) and another one is an actress by profession, Guang Mo Liang Zi (in Chinese) sorry, my knowledge on showbiz isn’t that good…hehe

Well, it’s a story of a man with four daughters, Shiro, whose wife passed away when the children are still young. His life was messed up when he decides to marry a nice lady but opposed strongly by his kids who have grown up. Since then, problems seemed to occur often. Yu, the eldest daughter, has her own family problems when she quarreled with her mother-in-law because she was regarded as a useless mother and wife. Akira, the second one, had had enough with the burden of taking care of the family and their noodle shop for ten years and decides to marry another guy that his father didn’t recognize. Trouble again… Makoto moved in with her boyfriend who is rude and selfish and always taking advantage on her because she’s too soft and always obeys him. The youngest daughter, Kei loves piano but was depressed because she lost in a very important piano competition. She became heartbroken and lost so she tries to escape by making decision to marry a guy, Jiro she had known only for a few days. Thus, making the once happy family broken apart. But, fortunately, Shiro’s girlfriend, Tama-ja is a kind and nice lady who soon sorts things out for his daughters and himself. And slowly, they began to accept their father’s marriage. I can’t tell the ending yet, because the finale will only be on next week. I saw only until the part where Shiro went after Tama-ja as she was leaving him.

Why this drama? Dunno… It’s a very emotional and heartwarming show on family and love relationship. How a father tries to bring back his family together and how strong the siblings bond can be… The four of them really cared and understands each other and I really wished my siblings would be the same… well, I can dream on about that…anyway, can you believe it? I shed tears almost every episode at times when they talked about the hardship they endured and the faith and love they still have for each other. The world needs a lot of love, faith and kindness now. Or else… Human will wipe out each other…
