I wish i can get two ticket and wish to see david tao. His song is very nice. He is very handsome..

Urm why sign the shirts? anyway what time is ideal to reach there?

Yeah i agree... it's like we don't belong to the fanclub and we're signing on it?! Anyway, i read from the DT website that signing of the shirt will probably be limited to those who bought the shirts... anyway any chance to get the shirts? i don't mind getting it after his showcase, cuz i didn't hear of the shirt til this week.

hi all, just thoought of gving my own little accont of the showcase at the S'pore expo for thise who missed the event and yes! he mentioned that he hoped to hold a concert in S'pore at the end of this year, YAY!

the Showcase@Expo on 30 April 2005...

i muz say this is like an experience of a "lifetime" for someone who has never done such a thing before... willingingly spent the extra money for a "concert which was supposed to be "free"... stood for hours among all the screaming little mei mei fans *pai seh* ... all these... just to catch a singer sing a few songs in a showcase that lasted only a third or forth of the time we spent travelling and waiting... but, IT'S ALL WORTH IT!!! yes, every sec of it after he appeared on stage 

well... i went with my sis & we "strolled" towards hall 1 @ expo at around 4.30pm after a sumptuous & hearty lunch... hehe... as we were walking towards hall 1, it was quiet and we thought we were the only ones who were early.. LOLX... and of course not... there were about hundred over fans waiting in the Q already...  then i heard some singing coming out from the hall... i listened intently, it sounded like DT was INSIDE rehearsing... but at the some time I was thinking that he should be in hard rock at the same time? *BLUR* but i was positive that the singing wasn't from a CD... you know...how DT always tries to sing his songs differently from his albums... it's typical of him... onli then i was feeling more excited about the showcase and the sleepy bugs fled...

AND, we were the unlucky ones to be "shooed" aside to stand outside the air-conditioned areas *sob... sob...* gosh.... the newspapers quoted the EMI staff saying that they were trying to be nice to the fans and let us in before 6pm... ai yoh.... where got? but i was thankful we were allowed to go in at 6pm...

after being "baked" by the gruesome heat for about 1 over hour... the doors were finally opened! YAY! and kudos to the fans... we were all very orderly and well-mannered with a few more energetic and enthusiastic ones, who skipped and ran towards the stage which seemed tiny in the midst of a rather huge and empty hall....

so, we waited fr 6pm, staring at the screen with the same pic as the ticket and imagine that went on for an hour when you couldn't even move anywhere fear losing your "good" spot and having no chance of getting back there!  as the crowd gathered, i realised that we were somewhere at the 8 to 10th row, not too bad and within a barricaded area... i think those who came in after 6.30pm have to stand outside the area... which is like quite far fr the stage. i was standing beside this gal who went alone, a very polite and nice gal... and we made some small talks with her...

then at around 7pm, they showed the Ghost MV... arghhhh... after resisting & refusing to watch it since i bot TGL album, it was like shown right in my face, not onli once but like 2.5 times!!! the funny thing was when the MV was first shown with some "warnings" (the following footage contains violent... blah blah)... one guy fan let out a funny but loud scream... haha and made everyone laughed *lolx* kinda broke the boredom of that monotonous arduous task of waiting with no DJs... no additional entertainment...

well, as expected, a leggy Bond wannabe group - WILD came out to perform first... and fans "repaid" their effort with some good cheer and clappings...

yes then at around 7.40 pm the moment has arrived!! the MAN appeared and sang Susan Said to deafening screams and cheers from the legions of some 5000 adoring fans!!

i was like too nervous... haha.... can't focus on watching and taking pics at the same time... woah... first time i see DT so close leh... though not at the first few rows (heng my face din appear on the papers *phew!*)... it was good enough... and the fans standing within my sphere of vision r not exactly veri tall... hehe...  and then followed by a short interval with the DJs interviewing him.... i quickly used my cam to video record the clip and GUESS WHAT??!!! i stopped juz before he did that chinese opera thing!!! arrggghghhhh!!!! he also mentioned something about doing some somersaults the chinese-opera-way to "enter" the stage for the next concert... haha... imagine that! *lolx* the way he described it was simply hilarious... then Chong Ching suggested that he might as well consider doing that plate twirling stunt (you know like twirling the plates on thin rods), our witty david jokingly rebutted him by saying that that's circus performance, not chinese opera!! LOL!

as usual, he mentioned that the launch date of his next album is not to be taken too seriously... haha...

then the DJs went on to say that he's closely associated with S'pore partly because of our local talent and acclaimed musician and music arranger (?) Mr Goh Kheng Long... he jokingly said that KL is avoiding him... haha... and on a more serious note, he went on to say that KL is a great pal who loves music and also a good Christian and prompted us to clap to show "respect" towards him... sadly... very few responded to his clapping, i could be one of the few that clapped loudly to this....

anyways... then he sang... LOVE CAN!! but actually his first two songs were not as good as it should be, NOT bcos he's not good, it's the mic... the volume control was flawed... then i whispered to my sis that the mic was "off"... then after the second song.... and true enough... during the lucky draw segment, our Mr Perfectionist prompted the stage crew to change the mic system for him subtly.

more unforgettable was how he read the lucky draw numbers in English.... ai yoh so incredibly sexy was his voice, so mellow, so smooth with that killer hypnotic tone ... really melted my heart into a puddle... ahaha...

three fans were picked to go on stage for the game... ok... shall skip this as u all should have read about it elsewhere liao... muz say that the guy "fan" who's rather good looking... might be a little too nervous... so ended up singing his classic signature tune - what else but ai hen jian dan instead of a song fr TGL album... speaking of that.... DT said jokingly before they started the game, that many of his fans would always raised up their hands frantically and wanted to participate in such a game, then when they were up the stage... a typical scenario would be... as he gamely illustrated... they would sing the words - " I LOVE YOU" loudly with their heads up...and then sheepishly looked down and lowered their heads right after that line, mumbling away after that.... haha... so funny sia... haha....

after that... (if i'm not wrong), the fans passed him the shirts... and he placed the tiny shirt on his chest to roars of laughter from the floor... and yes, he looked rather bemused that there's even a shirt for the lurrrrvely and adorable lucky (his dog)... lucky LUCKY!!

then after he changed the mic system, and yes at last, justice to his  pitch-perfect vocal was reinstated! his singing is simply FLAWLESS as always...  his heartfelt delivery of the songs with his signature silky falsettos is out-of-this-world, smooth and fluid... WOW! well, need i say more?

i enjoyed every single moment when he sang... i was a little surprised that he chose to sing Moon over my heart... and thanks to the overwhelming response from the crowd, he added one more song I Love You to end the beautiful and memorable evening....

that's all i cld remember... sori if i've posted loads of rubbish that has nothing to do with DT LOLX... heehee... guess i was too mesmerised by him to recall the details the moment i saw him on stage and for the very first time... heehee

and to end off all these... i'm sharing some pics here too but "warnings" before you view... they are blur... blur and blur... sori
