thks nlayhua for clearing my doubt, i'm VERY surprised to know there isn't any official DT fanclub ard coz i've always assume there is?! its really hard to believe such respectable musician like him doesn't have an official fanclub when he deserved it more than anyone else do. i think this jus goes to show that he doesn't need an official fanclub to back him up durin events, fans from all over will just flock to him becoz of his talent and his music. Even davidcn tho an unofficial fanclub can prove to be strong supportin grp of DT, it makes me feel that if ever we're gonna start a fanclub we perhaps shouldn't be too bother by the "official fanclub" title , our main concern must be focusing primarily on DT and his music, and from there on trying to build a close-knitted community continue spreading his "love & peace" in music.... i hope i dun sounded too serious here...hee....just the sudden thought that struck me...

yeah missred, nevermind that we couldn't form the club by then, it wouldn't stopped us from wanting to see DT n the chance to meet each other, after knowing u guys here for awhile, i'm really keen into meetin you all. We've talked so much over here, and its like we've somehow know each other alittle bit, it'll be great if we could meet up and share more abt our love for DT. And the autograph sesssions for his new album would be the ideal chance to meet. I just prayed that he'll come here for the promotion and i'll still be here when he comes.

As for the role part, i think i see myself able to contribute something on the IT side, perhaps the IT officer role i can fit in, i wonder anymore takers for that?? can be anything from site designing to programming...

oorh i just saw news abt DT at Changsha on 11/20, very happy for him to see him back in action jus 2 days before my bday, envy those ppl there n if onli i can see him again... meanwhile i'm very contended with the DT photo printed out n given by my frenz, tho featured fro the magazine cover, i never really own any DT photos or poster so this one is a real special gift, i'm super happy and jus wanna share wif u guys.... aww...btw i'll be away for 3 days...errrr....jus in case u thok i'm gone again, hope u guys keep this thread alive till i'm back.... ^_^V

Erm while happy dat u guys r really serious abt this fanclub, wonder if David needs an official fanclub He seems to be moving more & more away from idol type which is a good thing, & he seems quite content wif davidcn which he treat as family more than fanclub. Oso there will always be rumors & gossips abt him & I haf learned to be more understanding of David's need for privacy, considering dat I am an extremely private person myself. So I can see dat David just wants to express himself through his music which is sumthing we should all respect. Anyway just my opinion

Whoa guyz, all this is making me jumping up and down with excitement...Havent been online for the past few days, or maybe a week...and you discussed this much?! Wow, all these ideas for a DT fanclub is really terrifically amazing! I think an official fanclub would be good, but first, it is to start by gathering the fans themselves. Agree, agree that DT fans are more matured, (hehe, though I think I'm younger than most of you) a fanclub would be a great idea for fans to gather and support david by attending his concerts, promo tours, or we could probably have some other activities ourselves, rather than meeting up online. I think the best way to start is just gather everyone together, maybe online first and not requiring registration fees. We can probably request for fans' contacts for further plans. (okay, might not be a good idea, as most of the people still have doubts on security and privacy) When we gather up, we could set up a fansite like Davidcn but in Eng, in convenience for those who don't know Chinese, similar to Zhaodi's blog and this forum. Then maybe we can start collecting fees for those interested in registering as official members. Unofficial members can only browse thru the site for news, info, pics, etc. But official members are entitled to most of the 'extra stuffs' (cant think of anything yet)

But first, it's important to establish this hopefully-soon-to-be club as a worthy one, not just enthusiastic initially, so the record company or event sponsors will 'gladly reward' us with goodies and free VIP tickets, hehe! Actually, I just had this fanclub conversation with my friend in school today. She's actually the founder (hehe, a very grand word to use) of MJaysian, a Malaysian fanclub dedicated to, ehem, who else but Jay Chou, of course, along with her sisters. Well, it's actually a 'new kid on the block', but it seemed that they have quite a number of things going on there and her next step after SPM is to get in contact with the record company for VIP tickets. Not sure when she's gonna do it though. Her club has a number of members but there are still unofficial members there. I think they've already come up with a Tshirt design cos I remembered she asked me for a lil help on designs. She's really very into Jay , so was her sister and I remember they were interviewed about their interest in Jay in a local entertainment mag, not sure whether it's 'lifetv', 'ou siang' or 'Yeah'. Pretty cool, huh? 

Well, I've to admit, starting a club won't be easy cos there's a lot of things to take account of. Organizing and keeping it will be even harder. But I believe if we have the interest to start, courage to take risk, and the will to keep it on, you'll not hear the end of DT fan club. And I like the idea of combining M'sia and S'pore, because I noticed that both have vast number of DT fans. It'll be fantastic to gather them all at one spot, okay, two spots. Oh yeah, another suggestion for the club, DT fans should also be entitled to purchasing his albums at a discount, hehe...

Okay, I think that's it...Give me another week or two...After my exams, I'll be back for more of this.... Thumbs up!

Zhaodi said something about David moving away from the 'idol' image and not needing a fanclub earlier. To think back, maybe we should make this club more of a friends gathering type, cos other than David, we can share other interests and topics to talk about. And about not being alone during his concert or promo tours, this will be a great idea. And well, whether it's official or unofficial, I don't mind too... This huge project needs a lot of commitment and support to go on, and i think i can do commitment and support...=) And I must tell you, meetings, though important, sometimes are hard to arrange...

Anyway I read the speech dat David made regarding davidcn & he was vry touched & grateful to davidcn for their support & love. He said that from his first album he dun really haf fanclub like Jay & Lee Hom, & he felt cos he was older & not so much idol type. Now he haf davidcn he is vry happy that cos of him fans come from all over to make friends. So think I was wrong & he would be happy to haf fanclub here too

yea, totally agree with zhaodi, we can have an online chat about david... and i think that our 1st meeting should be when david comes down for any event in the near future. maybe it will be the one at the new album autographing session?? if we're meeting any earlier then what shall we do?? haha.. and i jus recently tried to sing along to david's karaoke.. and i've come to one conculsion!! ITS SO DIFFICULT TO SING HIS SONGS.. esp on the microphone.. ONLY david and him alone can sound so DAMN GOOD when singing live with a microphone!! (pardon my strong use of english hee) I love him and his music soooooo much!!!
